Multiple blades set at different angles on the horizontal shaft sweep the entire length of the mixer trough. They have the effect of moving alternate sections of the mix towards the center of trough and remainder towards the outer ends. This moves and turns the whole mixture to & fro, up & down movement, leaving no pockets of unmixed material and giving a thorough blending in the shortest possible time.
